Multiple Effect Evaporator

Working Principle

By arranging multiple evaporators in a series configuration, the water vapor generated by each evaporator (effect) is utilized as the heat source for the adjacent next evaporator. This means steam is only supplied to the first evaporator, and through this cascading process, the total evaporation capacity is multiplied, equivalent to the number of evaporators connected in series. Consequently, steam efficiency is increased severalfold (comparing steam consumption to total evaporation).

Special Characteristics

Steam efficiency improves as the number of evaporators increases.

Increasing the number of evaporators reduces steam consumption, but requires a corresponding increase in equipment investment.
Shennong Co., Ltd. has designed and manufactured various types of multi-effect evaporator systems, with evaporation capacities ranging from 0.08 t/h to 900 t/h and a maximum of 8 effects.
